

Janet Barbara (Wong) Jardine, resident of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away on October 5, 2016 at the age of 81. Janet was born on November 5, 1934 in Trinidad and Tobago, daughter of Edwin Wong and Theresa John-Wong. She is predeceased by both her parents.
She was a devoted mother, sister and wife. She worked as a school Teacher and Accountant at Standard Life Insurance Company in Trinidad and Tobago for many years and later moved to Fort Lauderdale where she resided at Century Village. Here she made many friends. She loved her daily walks and was very involved in the activities at this Retirement Community's Social Club, participating in the Yoga and exercise programs and would take every opportunity to join in the Parties and Dancing. She received an award for her volunteer work at Memorial Hospital where she enjoyed being supportive, helping and meeting the patients. She also received an award for her hard work at 1-800 Flowers where she enjoyed utilizing her artistic creativity with floral arrangements.
She is survived by her husband Ricardo Jardine of Port of Spain, Trinidad, and her beloved children Brent Jardine, his wife, Cairine of Pembroke Pines, Florida and Nicole Hansen, her husband, Douglas from Calgary, Alberta; her grandchildren Nicholas and Jenna Jardine, and Christina, Jeremy and Jason Hansen, as well as her siblings, brother Desmond, and sisters Amoy, Marjorie and Gloria. She also had many nieces and nephews, Tonya, Victor, Gavin (children of Amoy and Lloyd), Paul and James (children of Marjorie and Richard), Simone, Paul, Mark and Derek (children of Gloria) and Jennifer, Linda and Vicky Lynn (children of Desmond).
She will be greatly and dearly missed and forever loved.
