

Jayne Elizabeth (Anderson) Mackintosh born September 2, 1921 peacefully passed away early Saturday morning, August 21, 2021. She is welcomed by Suzy Mama Isobel, Daddy Alfred, husband Donald Mackintosh II and baby Jay. She was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, and graduated high school in 1939. In 1941, after Pearl Harbor, she joined the war effort with Remington Arms, inspecting ammunition and wiring bomb sites for aircraft. Afterwards, she moved to CA and worked at the VA hospital as a candy striper where she met Donald in March. They married in June, 1946 and moved to the Mackintosh family home in MA. Their oldest son Donald Mackintosh III and Malcolm Bruce Mackintosh were born in Holyoke, MA. They settled in York, SC where their youngest son, Robert Drew Mackintosh was born in 1954. Jayne devoted herself to the Boy and Girl Scouts, was active at Good Shephard Episcopal Church, and was a caterer. In 1971, they moved to Fort Lauderdale where she became involved in the Acacia Garden Club and All Saints Episcopal Church. Jayne was known for her love for snickers bars and scotch, extraordinary stories, delectable meals and ability to out party anyone. She never knew a stranger, always making friends who returned for drinks and laughter on the terrace. She will be remembered as the starlight lady, full of passion and love. She is survived by her sons Donald (Beverly), Malcolm (Doreen) and Robert (Darlene), her grandchildren Troy Chase Mackintosh, Taylor Donald Mackintosh, Amanda Lea Bobe, Julia Beth Mackintosh, great grandchildren, Alexa Jayne Juri, Frank Bobe IV, Elizabeth Bobe, Brennan Mackintosh as well as countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
