Jeanne B. Coleman went home to be with the Lord and her loving parents, Eleanor and Eugene Brett on Saturday, October 13, 2012. She was born on Feb. 10, 1927, in Manhattan, NY. Jeanne attended White Plains (NY) High School, was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She served as a civilian at Camp Lejeune, NC, during WWII. In 1956, Jeanne moved with her husband, John to Fort Lauderdale where she worked for Mayor Robert Cox. As part of her administrative duties with the Marine Industry Assn., she was secretary to several of the earliest Fort Lauderdale Boat Shows then held at Pier 66, the Billfish tournament and the 100 boat convoy-Bimini Goombah Holiday Cruise. She taught Sunday School and served on the council at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Lauderdale. Jeanne leaves behind her son and beloved caregiver, John William Coleman; daughter, Nancy Jeanne DeMartini; son, Robert Brett Dunckel (Marcia); grandchildren Morgan R. DeMartini; Brett R., Matthew C. and Sean E. (Angela) Dunckel and uncle, William Simmel (Viola.) In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Ev. Lutheran Church, 441 NE 3rd Avenue, Ft.
