Jeffrey William Brandt Sr., age 82, passed away in Davie, Florida. Born on September 8, 1943, in the Bronx, New York, he was the son of Leonard Brandt and Helen Sculfort.
Jeffrey was raised in the Bronx and later made his home in West Hempstead, New York, where he lived with his beloved wife, Carolyn Perfall Brandt, and their son, Jeffrey William Brandt Jr. After a lifetime of hard work, he retired in 2000 to Hallandale Beach, Florida, where he remained until his passing.
Throughout his life, Jeffrey built a diverse and hardworking career. He worked in cargo import and export and transportation before ultimately becoming an entrepreneur, proudly owning and operating his own taxi business until his retirement.
Jeffrey shared 20 years of marriage with his wife, Carolyn, until her passing in 1996. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey William Brandt Jr., and was a cherished father figure to his daughter-in-law, Jessica Brandt. He was also a loving and incredibly proud grandfather to Chaphen, Cameron, and Charlotte.
He is also survived by his brother, Gregory Brandt, and sister-in-law, Joan Brandt, along with their children, Philip and Christopher. Jeffrey is remembered as a beloved brother-in-law to Kenneth Perfall and to Donny and Jenny Perfall. He is also fondly remembered by Kenneth’s children—Jacqueline, Olympe, Leandra, and Tiffany—and by Donny and Jenny’s children—Chelsea, Alexandra, Bailey, Donovan, and Dustin.
Jeffrey was a funny, loving, and genuine man who brought warmth to those closest to him. He was passionate and, at times, stubborn in his beliefs, never backing down when he felt he was right. He was generous with his time and support, always ready to help those he loved. Above all, he believed that family came first—and to him, close friends were family as well.
He found great joy in spending time with his loved ones, especially during weekly visits and Sunday football gatherings with his son’s family. A lifelong fishing enthusiast, he spent many peaceful hours at the docks with friends. He also enjoyed mornings at the dog park with his beloved canine companion, Annie, and cherished time with friends and neighbors in his community.
A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held on May 16, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Private Tiki Hut at Le Tub Restaurant, located at 1100 North Ocean Drive, Hollywood, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor his life over food and drink—just as he would have wanted.
