

On June 28, 2020, Jeffrey Keating died at the age of 73 with his family at home. He was born February 10, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up in the Hastings/Red Wing area of Minnesota. Jeffery met Marilyn at college and they married on June 29, 1968. He graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor’s in History and Anthropology in 1969. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his three children, and five granddaughters.
From his college days on, Jeffery was an activist for social justice and peace. He participated in many endeavors such as Green Peace, and
the Sea Shepard Conservation Society. He was also a volunteer for the non-profit organization Plenty and worked on projects in Guatemala and Nicaragua. He was author of books about TV satellite systems and also wrote an e-book. He spent many years as a videographer on various subjects and posted videos regarding environmental and social justice issues on his website - hearthevoices.com and on Free Speech TV and
EnviroVideo. Jeffrey and Marilyn were members of The Farm in Tennessee, a community based on principles of non-violence and respect
for the Earth.
