She was born in New York Christmas Day 1930, daughter of Edna and Arthur Houlihan. Joan was raised in Menands moving to Florida in the 1940s. She worked for many years as an AT&T long distance operator retiring in 1991.
Her beloved husband of 55 years, Lewis (Tony) Thompson died on August 16, 2009.
Survived by her daughter, Diane Davis of Alexandria, Virginia.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 1:00 O'clock P.M. at Hollywood Memorial Garden Cemetery and Mausoleum. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
