I served as Class President, Boyd Anderson High School, class of 1980. Mr. Aycock cared about his students. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I understand the loss of a loved one is hard. When I lost my beloved mother, I found God's Word the Bible, the stronghold that helped me to cope with such unbearable pain. Please allow me to share with you some scriptures that come to my mind now, the first one is found in John 5:28, 29 where Jehovah promises to resurrect those who have died. Another one is the assurance stated on Psalm 37:11 that says that the meek will possess the earth and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace and verse 29 says that the righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it. And just a little longer and death will be no more (Revelation 21: 3, 4) May Jehovah provide you with the endurance to cope with your loss and that you find the Bible as God's message to us and that it is alive and exerts power (Hebrews 4:12).

John was my father-In-Law, grandfather to my two kids (Amber and Alex) and father to my wife, Shawn. He will be missed dearly. John was a gentle giant, do it all kinda of guy, and a man with a heart of steel. John would take the shirt off his back and give it to you. He could have lived another 10 years and that was how strong he was. A man that positively impacted so many people through-out his life. You impacted me John! I hope I have half your strength. I will miss you dearly. I hope God allows you to shine over us. Thank you the memories.

Mr. Aycock was my 7th grade teacher at Naval Air Jr. High and many years later our paths crossed when he was principal at B.A., where my children attended school. I especially remember him as a young teacher and his impact on me, a young shy student who had just moved to Florida and was entering junior high school. Perhaps now he will cross paths with my late son, one of his students at B.A. Thank you for helping to educate me and my children, Mr. Aycock, and may you rest in peace.

As Student Council Vice President at Driftwood I saw him quite often, and he was always very nice, cheerful and friendly to the students. I know he went on to bigger things, but I always remembered him. My sincere condolences to his family. RIP Mr.Aycock you were a wonderful man and your legacy lives on in all who knew you.

Great principal at BA High school. Never had any dealing with him personally but I had good memories as a high school student there. Prayers lifted up to the family

Mr. Aycock was my first principal at McArthur. Very nice man and was a wonderful administrator. May God Bless and comfort his family in this time of need.

As a student..I was always Leary of his methods..then learned he was a Marine...Now I get it..hard and mean....with the loyalty of a mutt dog. Semper Fi ....old devil dog!!

John Aycock was my principal at BA and was stern but soft and he would really listen and help when ever he could. Maybe he was soft on me because I was the last of five and he was happy to get rid of the Landenbergers especially my brother John who gave him a run for the money. Rest in peace......

You were a generous man and fair educator and you will be missed, Mr. Aycock. Rest in peace....Mr. Aycock had excused a debt of mine when my fund raising money was stolen from my locker in '82.

John Ayckok was a gracious and just individual. He was stern when he needed to be, but he had an understanding heart when it came to children. He led by example and left a lasting legacy of education that will be forever remembered.
