

He was born in Albany, New York on September 4, 1930 to father Herbert Charles Frost and Lillian (Kemp) Frost. As a child, his family moved to Brooklyn, NY where he spent most of his younger years.
John enlisted in the US Air Force and served during the Korean War as Staff Sargent.
After his service, John attended college at the University of California where he was offered an instructor's position in Physics and Aerodynamics. He declined, and returned to New York and soon gained employment in the airline industry. He also met his future wife, Marjorie Miller, whom he married on September 1, 1956.
John and Marjorie purchased a home in Baldwin, NY where they had their first daughter, Alice Lynn, in 1957 and their second daughter, Renee Christine, in 1961. The family moved to Pembroke Pines, Florida in 1964.
John remained in the airline industry, first with National Airlines and later with Pan Am after their takeover of the line in 1980. He took early retirement after Pan Am's subsequent bankruptcy in 1991.
A quiet man, John had many interests and hobbies during his lifetime, always fixing or creating one thing or another - experimenting. He was a tinkerer at heart. In his later years, he enjoyed watching old movies on TMC.
He lost his wife Marjorie to cancer in 2002, as well as his eldest daughter Alice in the same year. 'Papa' is survived by his youngest daughter Renee Walker, his grandchildren through Alice - John Hatch, Daniel Hatch, Philip Hatch, Cassandra Hatch and through Renee - Jessica Walker and Christine Walker. His surviving great -grandchildren are, through John Hatch - Emily and Logan, and through Philip Hatch - Sean.
He is also survived by his Brother-in-Law, Walter Miller.
