John H.P. Ramer Jr. was born on May 5, 1993 to John Anibal Ramer Senior and Ewa Kosarowicz at New York University Tish Hospital in New York City, New York. John shared the same birthday as his father and was Puerto Rican and Polish descent. They resided in St. Mark's place in the East Village, a neighborhood and community in New York City. After several months, John was sent to live under the care and legal guidance of his father's mother, Aura Lang in Pembroke Pines, Fl. Anthony M. Ramer, John A. Ramer's brother and John H.P. Ramer's uncle, was there to support Aura in times of need. John also has two older sisters, Aura Ramer and Natalia Kosarowicz. On June 27, 2001 John became an uncle when his sister Aura Ramer, proudly gave birth to a 3.2 pound baby boy, Elijah Anthony Ramer. John and his nephew Elijah enjoyed Pokemon, watching Harry Potter and Avatar, the Last Airbender, making butterbeer, playing with Legos, and playing videogames. These pastimes were well enjoyed with his nephew.
At a young age, John was introduced to Big Brothers Big Sisters, where he met Christopher Clark, a Florida resident, employed by NBC 6 as a sports editor who earned four Emmy Awards in his career. As a big brother, he spent time with John at the studio teaching him film editing and exposing him to other departments, such as the weather forecasting/meteorology broadcasting department. He met John Gauraldi, NBC 6 weather forecaster, who had a great impact in influencing John to pursue his studies in meteorology for his future career. John also met Joe Rose, NBC 6 sportscaster, who introduced him to Jason Taylor, Miami Dolphins football player and other athletes. All this was possible because of Chris, who became a powerful example and role model in John's life.
From elementary school through high school, John attended the Pembroke Pines Charter School system. While in elementary and middle school, John showed an interest in learning and playing sports. While being active in t-ball and soccer, he won many trophies and made friends with his teammates. At the same time, he took part in kung fu until he received a green belt. In middle school, John also started learning how to play the saxophone and he joined the school band. John and some of his other classmates from the school band decided to pursue music further by making their own band called the Breakfast Klub.
Throughout high school, John excelled in music. In addition to the saxophone, he taught himself how to play the piano well. He was even able to recompose music from famous musicians, such as Hans Zimmer (Pirates of the Caribbean) for other instruments. This work led to a standing ovation at concerts. Academically, he took many honors and AP classes and graduated in June of 2011. John had the opportunity to travel to England, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Holland. He got accepted to Florida State University, a senior university, in Tallahassee, Fl where his plan was to study meteorology. His dream career was to be a meteorologist upon a great cruise ship and travel the world. While attending FSU, John received many scholarships for his hard work. Throughout his life, John got along well with his peers and teachers and he was loved by his family and friends. He showed himself to be a role model and a caring, intelligent, honest, sincere, responsible and talented future member of society. Moreover, his accomplishments in life, without any doubt, have been paramount thanks to the loving and caring concern and guidance of his dear grandmother Aura Lang who has sacrificed her entire life to reassure that he would grow up to be a good, God-fearing man.
He will be deeply and greatly missed.
