Jonathan Devon Bowers

Jonathan was born on December 23, 1995, at the Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA to his parents, Thelma McDermott and J.D. Bowers. He departed from this life on December 1, 2025.

He is survived by his parents, siblings: Devan Bowers, Mariah Bowers and Jay Bowers, grandmother Reba McDermott of Bristow, OK, grandmother Edna Jimboy of Okmulgee, OK. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Truman Bowers, great grandmother Mary Parker Bowers and grandfather Benny McDermott.

He enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends and family and making people laugh. He shared a humor like no other and was a big presence in the lives of all those that loved him. He was always just himself, strong willed, innovative, fearless, independent and always spoke his mind. He had a passion for cooking and the finer things in life and got to spend time abroad doing what he enjoyed. Jon Jon’s light and laughter filled up a room and will forever be missed.

A visitation/viewing is set on December 5, 2025, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, located at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024.

Wake services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Matherly Funeral Homes located at 119 N. Chestnut Street, Bristow, OK 74010.

Funeral and graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Johnson, Cloud, McNac Family Cemetery in Bristow, OK.
