

Joey was born in the Bronx, New York, to Joseph Capadonno and Margaret Popadines on June 14, 1956. At the age of 3, his family moved to North Miami, Florida. Joey worked as a concierge in Hollywood and Sunny Isles for 50 years. He was a blood donor, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, and made numerous donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Joey had a lifelong interest in thoroughbred racing and took great pride in having attended the Kentucky Derby more than 25 times, as well as many other marquee races and sporting events, including the Super Bowl.
He became something of a world traveler later in life, sharing those moments with his longtime partner, Tiffany Adams.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Capadonno and Margaret Capadonno, and his sister, Carol Monti.
Joseph is survived by his partner, Tiffany Adams; his sister, Darlene Ashworth; his nephews, Michael Monti, Doug Monti, and Brandon Eddy; his great-nephew, Will Monti, Jake Monti, Brodie Eddy; and his great-niece, Addison Eddy.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:30–6:00 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 350 SE 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
