Joyce Ellen Robinson

Joyce Ellen Robinson, 90, of Plantation, Florida, passed away on March 28, 2023. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Joyce liked to travel with family, especially to Canada. She enjoyed tennis, gardening, tea time and family celebrations. Joyce was devoted to her family and supporting them in every way.

Joyce Ellen Robinson was born in Walthamstow, England on October 22, 1932. She was married to Ronald Robinson for many years. They moved to Florida in the 1950’s, where they lived in Miramar. They had 2 boys, Terry and Michael. Ronald Robinson owned a conveyer engineering company in Hallandale for many years. In 1987, they build their own townhome in Hollywood, Florida with Michael’s family living right next door.

Joyce was an incredibly involved grandparent to all of her grandchildren. During the week, she supported them by going to sporting, dance and cheerleading events. On the weekends, all the cousins would come over for sleepovers, crafts, water parks, movies and dancing. Joyce always cooked and had everyone over for the holidays. She always made sure everyone got everything they wanted. Family was always the first priority in her life.

Later in Joyce’s life she was blessed with many great grandchildren. Anthony, Michael, Hailey and Joey had great times celebrating Nanny’s birthdays with Jack-O-Lantern contests. Savannah and Virginia loved visiting her apartment with giraffes everywhere. All the children enjoyed spending time with “Nanny” during the holidays and birthdays.

Joyce is survived by her son Michael Robinson, her grandchildren Danielle Durham, Michelle Robinson, Taralyn Robinson, Cari Ann Robinson and Cory Robinson, her great grandchildren Anthony Adamo, Michael Adamo, Hailey Adamo, Joey Adamo, Savannah Grace Durham, Virginia Lee Durham and Harper Lynn Robinson.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Robinson, her son Terry Robinson, her sister Kathleen Singer, brother Alfred Fuller and Doreen Bartlett.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home in Hollywood, Florida on April 2, 2023. Jefferson Durham will be officiating. A gathering will begin at 2:00 to 3:00pm. The service will begin at 3:00pm with a reception to follow.
