Alicea, Julia, 61, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Kindred Hospital Ft. Lauderdale. She was born December 7, 1952 in the Bronx, NY to Carmelo Nieves and Juanita Centeno. She is survived by her daughters, Christine Elaine Alicea and Katherine Jeanette Alicea and granddaughter Hayden Elizabeth Valenzuela all of Ft. Lauderdale; mother, Juanita Centeno of the Bronx.; father, Carmelo Nieves of Bayamon, Puerto Rico; sister, Rosalie Cintron of Brooklyn; brothers, Miguel Robles of Hinesville, GA and Antonio Guadalupe of the Bronx. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Alicea and brother, Mario Guadalupe. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a funeral service to be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel.
