She is survived by her beloved husband, Samuel Weitz; daughters, Natalie DeVries (Tom) and Leah Devan (Michael). In addition, she is survived by her mother, Rose Olivi, sisters Janet Olivi and Lynn Brantley, brother John Olivi her four grandchildren; Sophia, Shane, Nicholas and Michael, step-grandchildren; Ben, Jessica, Morgan, Shelby, Colin and several nieces and nephews.
Karen was a devoted mother and a successful entrepreneur. She pursued everything she did with passion and her dedication to her family was paramount. Karen loved taking care of animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed traveling, loved all types of music and was an accomplished flutist.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 8th at 10:30AM at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 200 N. University Drive in Plantation. Burial will follow Mass at Hollywood Memorial Gardens North in Hollywood, FL.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
