Kathleen Joyce Stewart-Milner (ne Sasso), age 93 of Plantation, Florida passed away on Wednesday, October 15th, 2014.
Joyce as she was known to many, was born May 6th, 1921 in Kingston, Jamaica to a large and well known family. She was the last of eleven children born to the late David Sasso and Maude Figueroa. She later married Melvin Stewart of Ulster Spring. They were happily married for 46 years. The union produced four children; Douglas (deceased), Judy, Marie and Phillip.

Later on, as she raised her children in Bog Walk, Kathleen learned to drive and opened a flower shop in Spanish Town and commuted the over 20 mile round trip everyday. This was typical of her drive, determination and very strong entrepreneurial spirit. She loved to cook and to garden and was known for her Plum Puddings and Solomon Gundy which she successfully sold in all the major supermarkets in Jamaica.
In 1979 she and Melvin moved to Canada and then later moved to Florida to be with their children and grandchildren. In 1993 Melvin sadly passed away and is still greatly missed.
Kathleen in 1998 met and married Harold Milner, an old friend from Jamaica. Harold and Kathleen were close companions and were extremely happy for 16 years until she peacefully passed away at her home on October 15th.
