

KHAMRAJH MAHARAJH HARGOBIN (May 4, 1964 - June 28, 2019), also known as Shome, Pundit Raj, Locksmith Raj, passed away on Friday 28th of June, 2019, at age 55, at the Cleveland Clinic, Weston Florida. Pundit Khamrajh was a resident of Coral Springs, Florida.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday July 2nd at 10:00 am, followed by cremation at 12:00 noon, at the Fred Hunter Funeral Homes, Cemeteries and Cremation Service 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024. Pundit Ravi Sharma will be officiating.
Pundit Shome was born in Trinidad & Tobago, the 5th child & third son to (Pundit) Hargobin Persad, and Randaye Chankar. Khamrajh graduated from Asja Boys High School in San Fernando, Trinidad.
Khamrajh was married to Indranie Hargobin (nee Bhagaloo) on June 29, 1987. They were married for 32 years. They had three children: two daughters - Balmatie (now deceased, in September 2012) & Nalinee, and a son, Devesh (also known as Roshan).
Raj worked as a Locksmith, under his own business Raj Locksmith for many years in the Fort Lauderdale area. He enjoyed traveling when he could and was also actively involved in local Hindu temples and activities.
Khamraj is survived by his wife Indranie, children Nalinee and Devesh, brothers Bhojrajh (aka Betah) and Chaitram (aka Ram), and sisters Indra, Alicia, Sharda and Rohini. His brother Tackoor, aka Tony, passed away in August 2012 in new York.
Shome is preceded in death by his parents Hargobin Persad (September 1996) and Ramdaye Chankar (May 2014), and his daughter Balmatie (2012).
