Laura Plescia, 81, of Pompano Beach, formerly of Dania Beach, died Sunday, peacefully surrounded by her children and family. Laura Red lived a full and wonderful life in love with family and friends and that of God in her faith. Laura was born in Brooklyn, NY, where she met and married the love of her life Joseph (deceased) for 54 years. Laura and Joe retired to paradise in Florida in 1990 living happily in Dania Beach for many years. She is survived by her children; Carol Ann Wilhoit, Brooklyn, NY, Denise Plescia, Oakland Park, FL, Stephen (Keith Muller) Plescia, Pompano Beach, FL, Gerard (Lorraine) Plescia, Massapequa Park, NY, John (Janis) Plescia, Lake Mary, FL, Jane (Joe) Angiletta, Centerville, VA, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation, 3-8 pm Tuesday, July 19th Fred Hunters Downtown Fort Lauderdale Chapel. Funeral Mass, 11:00 am Wednesday, July 20th at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 731 N. Ocean Blvd., Pompano Beach. Interment will be at Hollywood Memorial Gardens. Family requests donations to Gold Coast Hospice of Fort Lauderdale or St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Pompano Beach.
