

Reggie was born on June 7, 1952, in the Bronx, NY, to Margaret and Anthony “Toby” Goicoechea. A talented Latin percussionist, Reggie shared his passion for music with the world, performing with local salsa bands in Miami and sharing the stage with legends such as Celia Cruz and El Gran Combo. His love for music extended beyond performances; Reggie volunteered his talents with Son del Señor, a music ministry dedicated to raising funds for charitable causes. His contributions added depth to the spiritual experience at retreats, fundraisers, and other meaningful events.
Reggie was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Anthony Goicoechea, his brother, Husky Goicoechea, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Miriam Goicoechea; his children, Veronica Urueta (Mario), Evelyn Fernandez, and Carlos Fernandez (Frances); and his grandchildren, Kailel, Kaiden, Karina, Mario, Daniella, and Lily.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support during this difficult time.
We will forever cherish the memory of Reggie as a loving husband, father, grandfather, cousin, and friend. His unwavering strength, protective spirit, and boundless love will remain with us always. Reggie’s presence has left an indelible mark on our hearts, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
