Louise Edith Barber passed away peacefully on June 7, 2020 after her struggle with cancer. She was 79 years old, and was predeceased by her husband, Ronald J. Barber, in 1985. Louise never remarried, and is survived by her five children, Gigi Lucas, Georgette Frakes, Ronnie Hagadorn, Shawn Barber, and Audra Barber. She leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Louise and Ronald raised their five children in a warm and loving household. When Ronald died she continued to work, filling the roles of mother, father, and provider to ensure her family was well taken care of. Louise was a pioneer in women’s independence, as this was not common in those years.
Louise had entered the workforce after graduating high school at the early age of 16, where she worked her way up the corporate ladder to become Office Manager. She was well respected for her dedication, hard work, and integrity. Louise was loved by all, and will be sorely missed.
