I'm so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathy. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as the comfort found in God's word the bible. Romans 5:12 says, "That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

I met Ms. Dejesus September 11 2001. What you see is what you get. Sincere, Faithful friend, Kind always say the truth.If you did something wrong don't wait on Lourdes to sugar cane you,she will tell you the truth like it or not.She was respectful and a good mentor.Since 2001 she kept telling me "Genie" you went to University in Haiti you need to go back to school ," are you a "scary cat?" My answer was: leave me alone red hair, I will go. When Genie" 2010 I registered at Ana G Mendez University, walking across the wall and said Look lady this is my student ID." so what" I couldn't find my words and she said I'll be happy when I see you walking with Honor" I couldn't believe it. June 28 2013 was my graduation date,I sent her my graduation picture and she replied Congratulations.I said I graduated with honor and she said congratulations where is I am very proud of you.I called her and she said by the way congratulations Genie but you need to register for your master.speechless I replied yes Madame. No french Genie, i am not joking and my answer was: I get it boss. This is the Lourdes i known, a loving mother in law who cherished her son in law. A loving mother, grand mother a sincere friend.touch her do not touch her family and friends. Thank you for believing in me. I thank God for you and i am happy to say that on her birthday last August I sent her a text :" A Bday is a gift from Heaven, I thank God for knowing you. If i never said it, i love you my sister. God bless you. Love Genie" She didn't reply but 4 days before her death I received this text:"God bless you too. Thank you as well"{ that was September 5, 2013,"message from a friend, a sister and a real colleague. I will miss you a lot. Love, Genie

Dear family, losing a loved one is very difficult, especially a mother. I am writing to share a wonderful promise that I have learned in the Bible that brings me comfort. John 5:28,29,"Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will come out." God promises to soon bring our loved ones back to life. He has the power and desire to do so and he will do what he promises. "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes,and death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4)God will end all suffering and we will live in paradise here on earth with our loved ones and create new memories with them.(Psalms 37:29:John 17:3;John 3:16) May this promise bring you some comfort,knowing that God "who cannot lie" promises this.(Titus 1:2)

You were an amazing woman the epitome of a strong and loving mother, I had hoped to one day show you the woman and mother you inspired me to be. I will always be thankful of the trouble you kept me out of. The advice you always gave me, the love you always showed and butt kickings in uno you handed out to all of us during our free times in class. You were there for me during a very rough time in my life and you kept me on the right path and helped me steer away from trouble. I love you and miss you. May god bless you and welcome you into heaven with open arms and love. May god bless your family and give them strength to continue on the life's journey.

Ms.DeJesus was not only my teacher or friend she was a mother to me she always new how to put a smile on your face no matter what kind of mood you were in. If I needed advice I never thought twice in asking her cause she was always straight forward, she made an impact to so many live's I'm sure she will be doing the same shinning down on us from heaven may you rest in peace my teacher my friend a person I could call my mother I love you sleep well good nite.

Lourdes you were my mentor and my friend. I enjoyed our loooonnnnnggggg conversations. I will forever have you in my heart. Every moment I spend in the classroom will be a dedication to your life. You taught me how to be a great educator. I had not ever taught Social Studies through novels; thank you for that revelation. I wanted to learn as much as I can from you, especially given the fact that I had Francisco in my class during my very first year in the classroom. I could not have done it without you. We both lived at ASPIRA! I love you and will dearly miss you. Rest in Peace My Mentor. You are now in the arms of the one who has the GREATEST LOVE OF ALL....JESUS CHRIST.

Awesome teacher, definitely one I always carry memories of. She cared enough for her students to be sweet and humble, but also stern, and I can say that I appreciate that. May her soul rest in peace.

Ms.Dejesus was an inspiration to the class of 2010. She will always be missed greatly in our heart.
