Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on September 22, 2022,
at Fred Hunters-Taft Location. The funeral mass service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 23, 2022, at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Miramar, FL. Father Yara will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunters.
Lucia was born in Medellin, Colombia on March 3, 1925.
Lucia was married to Efrain Alberto on April 12, 1942.
They were married for 62 years and had 12 children.
She enjoyed traveling and being a Grandmother. She was also a devout Catholic.
Lucia is survived by daughters Olga Lila Taborda, Martha Lucia, Maria Elena, Carmenza & Claudia Escobar, Angela Maria Barco, Luz Marina Walstrum, sons Sergio Javier, Jorge Humberto, and Juan Guillermo Escobar, 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, sister Mariela Estrada, and other family and friends. Lucia is preceded in death by Husband Efrain Alberto, sons Alvaro Ivan and Jairo Alberto Escobar, and sisters Maria Dolores and Aura Ester.
