Lucy Stella Benavidez

Lucy was born to her loving Mother Ruth Peralta on November 7, 1954. She married the love of her life, Carlos Benavidez on March 7, 1970 in Fountain, Colorado. She worked as a Receiving Manager for Ross for many years. Lucy’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends and watching over her grandchildren and great grandchild whom she was very proud of.

Lucy was preceded in death by her siblings; sisters, Louise and Clara and brothers; Paul, Joey and Ted.

Lucy is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 56 years, Carlos Benavidez; her children, Angela Post (Thomas) of Davie, Adam Benavidez (Naomi) of Lakeland, Anthony Benavidez, (Greilyn) of Dover, Annette Dudash (Charles) of West Park, Annabel Glynos (Alex) of Plant City; brothers Vincent and Phillip and sister Josie of Pueblo, Colorado; 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Payton, Sebastian, Naomi, William, Presley, Natasha, Oscar, Michael, Delia; one great-grandchild, Eileen; and Godson, Terry Dana.

We will forever cherish the memories and values bestowed upon us by Lucy and the impact she made on all those who knew her. Her only wish would be for those that truly loved her to smile over a drink or two while sharing memories of who she was to them and why she will never be forgotten.. Forever in our hearts.

A celebration of her amazing life will be held by her loved ones at a later time to be determined. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter funeral home.
