

The funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Church located at 6232 Fillmore Street, Hollywood, Florida 33024. The service will begin at 11:00am. Father Silviu Sfera will be officiating. Visitation will be held at the church 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral at Hollywood Memorial Gardens West.
Maly was born in Bucharest, Romania, on December 16, 1938. She studied music and played piano. She became a beloved opera singer in Romania and Europe after graduating from the Conservatorul de Muzica Bucharest. Her stage name was Ioana Dracea.
Maly was married to Dan Dracea in 1956. They were married 52 years, until he passed away in 2008. Their son, Vlad, was born in 1964 in Timisoara, Romania.
Maly moved to the United States in 1982 where she became a real estate agent in New York City and South Florida during her career.
Maly enjoyed teaching music to children and was an active member of the Romanian church community. She was also the conductor of the choir and organized many holiday performances for the church for several years.
Maly is survived by her son and his wife Barie of Washingtonville, New York. Her sister Monika Alexander and brother in law, Robert Campbell, reside in Hallandale Beach. She has two grandchildren (Charles and Caroline) as well as one great grandchild, Gabriel.
