Alice was born in Figueira da Foz, Portugal to Joaquim da Silva Jordao and Idalina Da Cruz on January 27, 1934.
Alice married Jose G. Caneira Sr on February 14, 1953. They were married 38 years until his passing in 1991. She worked as a seamstress for many years in New Jersey before she retired in Florida with her husband. Alice loved going to the beach and was very active with her church.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Jose G. Caneira Sr and her daughter Zulmira J. Antao.
Alice is survived by her son, Jose J. Caneira (Tracy) and her three grandchildren Anthony, Nicole (Craig) and Michelle. She also has one great grandchild, Camryn.
Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2022 from 10am to 1pm at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home on Taft Street in Room 1. Funeral services will begin at 1pm and burial will follow. Flowers may be sent to Fred Hunters Funeral Home at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida 33024.
