

Maria Delfina Skinner, 90, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, surrounded by love and family.
Born on August 15, 1935, in Cárdenas, Cuba, to Ramon and Delfina Lima, Maria was one of fifteen children in a close-knit and vibrant family. She immigrated to the United States in 1958, seeking new opportunities and a better life. Her journey was marked by resilience, courage, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
On June 18, 1962, Maria married the love of her life, Zell B. Skinner, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and shared dreams.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband Zell, her cherished son Noel Diaz, and all of her siblings. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will be carried forward by her devoted daughter Maria, her beloved son Vonzell and his wife Tracy, and her treasured grandsons Zachary Boyd and Matthew Vonzell and his wife Amanda.
Maria will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet strength, and the deep love she held for her family. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 3:00 p.m., at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33021
