Marie Odette Ripert Estama was born March 29, 1937 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the daughter of Christian Ripert and Ermelie Calixte. She was united in marriage on January 17, 1970 to Joseph E. Estama, a/k/a Raphael Estama. From this union a son and daughter were born, Jude R. and Hulda O. Estama. She was a well-known and respected teacher in Haiti for 21 years. She built a successful pre-school, Joli Jardin de Waney in Carrefour Waney, Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In 1982, she immigrated to Miami, Florida, where she built and managed a day care center. She was always directly involved with each child in her care, and she taught each child as if each were her own. Her natural love for and talent in teaching children made her school and day care a success. She was always encouraging and supportive of her own children: whether their dreams were to develop a successful business or to obtain a college education. Marie became a Jehovahs Witness, and was fully devoted to Jehovah God. Her life revolved around the Jehovahs Witness teachings. She was the archetype of the capable woman in Proverbs 31. Marie enjoyed reading the Bible and literatures of the Jehovahs Witnesses, preaching, cooking/baking and sewing. Surviving are her son, Jude R. Estama and his wife Kettelie Estama; her daughter, Hulda O. Estama; grandson, Jiordani R. Estama, granddaughters, Tiahi S. and Chanai A. Estama; her brother, Jean-Claude Ripert and sisters, Veronique Louis, Marie Carmen Lindor and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and the following brothers and sister: Luc Papin, Frederic Papin, Andre Ripert, and Alta Grace Ripert. The following words sum up her life: Faithful, Loving and Caring.
