Marilyn's story began in the heart of Brooklyn, brimming with vitality and a curiosity that would shape her journey. Her formative years in New York's bustling environment cultivated an insatiable appetite for knowledge, which she satisfied through her love of reading. Every morning since her teenage years, Marilyn would immerse herself in the pages of the newspaper, an enduring habit that kept her engaged with the world.
Her professional life was marked by her role as an Executive Assistant, where she brought not just her keen organizational skills but also her genuine warmth, earning the respect and affection of colleagues and associates. Marilyn's presence in the office was not just about work; her humor and sage advice were as much a part of the day as the tasks at hand.
Marilyn's truest joy, however, was her family. She cherished her daughter, Melissa Anne D’Angelo, and rejoiced in the milestones and achievements of her grandson, Andrew Michael Friedman, his wife Kansas Marie Friedman, and her precious great-grandsons, Jace Michael, Raynor Miles, Aurin Merrick, and Michael Friedman Trudeau. Her legacy is carried on through these surviving family members.
An ardent lover of all animals, Marilyn held a special place in her heart for cats, particularly her most recent beloved rescue, Theo, who was her constant and comforting companion. In her leisure, Marilyn could often be found buried in a good book, her thirst for stories and learning never quenched.
As we honor the life of Marilyn Virginia Ashbridge, we celebrate the light she shared and the laughter she brought into our lives. Her wit, her wisdom, and her unwavering kindness will be profoundly missed, but the impact she made on her family and friends will be treasured forever. Marilyn's story does not end here; it continues in every life she touched and every heart she warmed with her presence.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future. Details will be released on Fred Hunter website.
