Mary was born in Seaside Heights, NJ on November 28, 1946 but moved to south Florida with her parents and older brother at a very young age. She grew up in Hollywood and was practically a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of South Broward High School. After graduation she attended Broward Community College in Davie, FL. Mary went on to have a lifelong career as a Realtor and Mortgage Broker. Throughout her career she held many sales and managerial positions at Century 21 Real Estate, Chinelly Realty, Re-Max of Hollywood Realty and United Realty & Mortgage. She and her husband were also small business owners for many years operating Eagle Home Inspections of Broward County. Mary retired from her successful real estate career as Office Manager at Caldwell Banker Real Estate of Hollywood Hills and closed the home inspection business in 2006 to care for her sick husband. Her passions were many but her family and friends were what mattered most to her. She was always there when someone was in need of support or just a helping hand. She gave her time freely. However, when she wasn’t helping others or enjoying her extended large family, she was guilty of having a good time playing the slot machines at the casinos. Mary was also very fond of furry four legged animals. She donated generously for many years to the Broward County Humane’s Society. She lovingly adored her two cats, Rusty and Tiffany. After Rusty passed away Mary began taking Tiffany on her many travels. Mary is predeceased by her parents, Angelina (nee Conti) and Charles R. They met years ago on-line playing the Facebook game “Mafia Wars.” Each suffering the tremendous loss of losing their spouses after many years of devoted care and love to cancer. While playing the game late into the night and messaging back and forth, all the time becoming more familiar with each other. Soon their on-line friendship grew and Michael flew down with a bouquet of roses in hand from Albany, NY to Fort Lauderdale, FL to meet and get to know this lovely lady. Mary stood nervously with a red heart shaped balloon, so we would be easily able to spot her! A budding romance began and blossomed into their beautiful love story. Soon they were each becoming frequent flyers to visit the other for weeks and month at a time. Each of their families welcoming the other into theirs after seeing first hand how happy they made each other. In time Michael decided he would sell his upstate New York home and acreage to move down to south Florida to be together. They enjoyed travelling around, exploring new restaurants and visiting all the casinos that Florida had. Mary became a dog lover after meeting Michael’s beautiful dog Zeva. Although, they didn’t get the length of time they wanted with each other, what they did have was extra-special. Michael will forever have a special place in all the hearts of Mary’s family.
