She was born in New York City, New York on July 19, 1918. She was the oldest daughter of nine children born to Pasqualina and Costantino Grosso, immigrants from the Naples region of Italy. She moved to Brooklyn after marrying Frank in 1948.
After her husband's retirement in 1980 Mary came to live in Miami Lakes , Florida where her son resided. In 1995 Mary moved to Cooper City to live in a condo close to her son and his family.
Mary was an active senior at the Cooper City Community Center for many years until her illness. She loved to play bingo a the community center and at the church.
Survived by her only child Anthony, his wife, Christina and one grandson Michael; and two of her brothers John and Alex. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Marchetta in 1981.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 13th at 10:00 at St. David's Catholic Church, 3900 S. University Dr. Davie, Florida 33328
