Mary O'Brien Radziwon

Mary Christine O'Brien Radziwon (Chris), 68, passed away peacefully in the company of family in Davie, Florida on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Chris was born on August 17, 1944 in Ithaca, NY to parents Clementine and John O'Brien. She moved to South Florida in 1954 and has resided in the state since. Chris was an esteemed employee at Sears for 22 years, received commendations for her excellent work, and retired in 2000. She later worked at the Plantation Fire Department for 10 years, retiring in 2010. She devoted her life to her family, instinctively built friendly relationships with every person she met, and was known to show acts of love to strangers. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Phillip and Daniel O'Brien and survived by her sister, Kathy Allgood, her three sons Brian, Daryl, and Allan Radziwon, her two daughters-in-law, Leisly De La Torre and Peggy Radziwon, and her two granddaughters, Erin and Megan Radziwon. Her kind heart and free spirit will be fondly remembered by all those who had the pleasure of encountering Chris during her lifetime. The family will receive friends for the visitation on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 5-8pm at Fred Hunter's University Drive Home, 2401 S. University Dr, Davie, FL, 33324, (954)-989-1550. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10am at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2000 S. State Rd. 7, Miramar, FL 33023, (954)-987-1100.
