Maureen was born in Hoboken, NJ to the late Joseph H. Burns and Jean L. Burns (née Williams).
She attended school at The Academy of the Sacred Heart in Hoboken, NJ and was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken and St. Sebastian Church in Ft. Lauderdale.
In 2001, Maureen was honored to serve as Hoboken’s Irish Woman of the Year.
Maureen is survived by devoted husband of 49 years Frank, beloved daughter Kimberly Ann and her husband Sami Chebbi, sister Denise Restaino, brother Brian Burns and was predeceased by sister Jennifer Landry-Daly.
She was a cherished aunt to a host of nieces, nephews, great -nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home 718 S. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 2000 Marietta Drive, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Burial will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park.
