"Our Sweet Melissa" born 8/9/79 passed away from a recent illness on 5/27/17. Daughter of Valerie Powers Slaugenhaupt and Oliver "Ollie" Powers and sister of Stacey Lynn Powers. She was diagnosed with RETT Syndrome which limited her mobility and prevented language, but she was able to express herself through her beautiful eyes and smile. She brought joy to all she touched and taught us the true meaning of love. We will miss our "Doogie."
