He and his brothers Tom and Jim took over MAB Paints after the sudden passing of their father Thomas, Sr. in 1967. Michael recognizing the growth potential for the business in Florida moved there in 1978 to help manage the company's expansion. The three brothers managed and shared the business for 40 years together under the mantra "united we stand, divided we fall." Michael was also an avid fisherman and boater who was often at the helm of the "Gunga Din" off the waters in New Jersey and Florida. Michael's brightest moments were when he spoke of his children to his friends and family. Whether it was their athletic prowess, scholastic achievement, or artistic ability, he was a proud father. Michael will be remembered as a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. He was a quiet man with a generous heart who loved to show others a good time and asked nothing in return.
