Minerva Altagracia Fernandez-Peralta

Minerva Altagracia Fernandez-Peralta, age 82, of Pembroke Pines, FL, passed away Thursday, July 26th, 2018, at her residence. She was born January 26th, 1936, in La Cuesta Abajo, Dominican Republic, the 5th of 10 children born to Casimiro Fernandez and Carmela Peralta de Fernandez.

Minerva moved to South Florida in 1992, and recently was attending Hollywood Community Church. She is survived by her beloved children: Decelino "Desi" (Susan) Contreras, of Chula Vista, CA, Maria Linda (Emilio) Garcia of Pembroke Pines, FL, Tommy L. Fernandez of Pembroke Pines, FL, Barbara J. (Miguel) Fernandez of Apison, TN, and Denise C. (Ramon) Yepez of Sunrise, FL; beloved grandchildren: D.J. and Sterling Contreras, 2 Garcia grandchildren, 2 Fernandez grandchildren, Rebecka, Abygail and Miguel Fernandez, and Daniel and Matthew Yepez; beloved great-granddaughter Kaylee Contreras; beloved siblings Moraima Valerio, Carmen Melo, Ramon Peralta and Elpidio Peralta. Also, Zunilda Lopez whom she loved like a daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Federico "Freddy" Evaristo Contreras; siblings Jose Raul (Bule), Rafael (Fellito), Juan Antonio, Pedro Pablo, and Luis Manuel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 1st, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2nd, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with entombment to follow in Hollywood Memorial Gardens East.
