Monique Gaillard, a retired biochemist and registered nurse, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on June 30, 1948, to Garescher Gaillard and Oxane Louis-Jeune, Monique was the eldest of five children. Her early years were marked by a keen intellect and a passion for math and science.Monique was a dedicated and accomplished student, constantly seeking knowledge and furthering her education. Throughout her life, she earned numerous degrees and certifications, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
She spent decades in the healthcare industry, combining her expertise in biochemistry with her compassionate nature as a nurse. Monique's work touched countless lives, and she was known for her dedication, empathy, and unwavering commitment to her patients. After a long and fulfilling career, she retired as a registered nurse, leaving behind a legacy of care and compassion.
Monique was also a devout Jehovah’s Witness, and her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her dedication to her beliefs guided her actions and interactions, and she found great comfort and community within her congregation. Monique's unwavering faith provided her with strength and resilience throughout her life, and she was known for her kindness, generosity, and deep sense of spirituality.
Monique was the beloved mother of Malory Gaillard, with whom she shared a deep and enduring bond. She was a doting grandmother to her two granddaughters, Sanaya Melody Roger and Serena Harmony Roger, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.
She is survived by her four siblings, Jean Gilbert Gaillard, Daniel Gaillard, Sonide Gaillard and Noemie Gaillard who will remember her as a caring and guiding force in their lives. Monique also leaves behind her cherished daughter, granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews, who all looked up to her and were inspired by her achievements and character.
Monique's family and friends will remember her as a pillar of strength, a beacon of knowledge, and a source of unending love.
