Nikima Davida Thompson

Nikki was born in North Shore Medical Center on August 16, 1978. She graduated from Miami Norland Senior High School, Miami, Fl and received some college credits from Miami Dade Community College, Miami, FL.

Nikki was married to Aran Sr, this union developed 4 beautiful children, Aran Jr., Isaiah, Justin and Heaven. 

Nikki worked as a Communication Specialist III for the Broward Sheriff Public Safety Department from 2003 until she fell ill. 

Nikima enjoyed traveling, social gatherings, music, cosmetology.

Nikima is survived by her children, Aran Jr., Isaiah, Justin, and Heaven, Mother Geraldine M. Wilson and Herman A. Wilson (divorced), brothers Tony Wilson (and family of Atlanta, Ga.); sisters Gina Stewart (Miami, Fl), Andrea Wilson( and family of Atlanta Ga.), nephew Wesley Cargill (Jacksonville,FL), uncle Paul Johnson (Jackie, Tampa, Fl) aunt Miriam Johnson (Johnny, Tampa), cousins in Tampa and across Georgia; a host of surrogate aunts (June, Glenda, Deanne, Pat, Jewel, Gin and Wanda) and surrogate Uncles (Bobby, Bruce (deceased), Mike, Al, and Jim Sears (deceased) and a host of loving friends including Coco, and Tamika (& Rhonda) and numerous co-workers at BSO.

Nikima is preceded in death by her grandmothers Claudia M. Wilson-White (Miami) and Mozell Johnson (Tampa), grandfathers Hubert Wilson (Miami) and Willie L. McElroy (Miami), uncles William L. McElroy (Fontana, Ca.) Johnny Johnson (Tampa).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the children. The family of Nikima D. Thompson wishes to thank Sheriff Gregory Tony and the entire Broward Sheriff’s Office family and all supporting organizations with this transition, God Bless You, and thank you all.
