Hollywood, Florida - Noreen Margaret Gavino, a long-time resident of the Hollywood area, died Saturday the 16th of March at the Florida Medical Center in Oakland Park, FL after a long battle with Alzheimer's and dementia.
Noreen spent most of her career as a Registered Nurse working for area hospitals in the ICU and mental health units. In her spare time, Noreen enjoyed volunteering at St. Bernadette Catholic School in Davie where her kids attended primary school.
Noreen was an avid reader, Jeopardy watcher and a big fan of her husband's Italian cooking.
She is survived by her husband, Carlo Gavino, their three adult sons, John, Robert and Jean-Paul (J.P.), 4 grandchildren, and 3 older brothers, John Kerwick, Jim Kerwick and Greg Kerwick.
The immediate family will gather to celebrate Noreen's life in a private ceremony. The family requests that any memorial gifts be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America so they may continue to fund their research for better treatment and a cure.
