Patricia Ann Helmcamp

Pat was born in South Charleston, West Virginia to Theodore and Alma Wooten. She was married to Fred Helmcamp, Jr for 49 years until his passing in 2012.

Pat was an independent, caring, and beloved wife, mother of two, grandmother of four, great grandmother of four, sister of two, aunt and friend.

As a registered Nurse Pat worked in the NICU and cared for all her patients with love and compassion.  Her natural gift was helping people. 

As a talented artist and passionate quilter Pat won many awards and formed many beautiful friendships along the way. 

Pat was very grounded in her faith and loved her Baptist Church.  Over her lifetime she was active as a Sunday school teacher, bible study teacher, quilting teacher and an active congregant.

Pat also made meals, delivered them, opened her house up, and dropped everything to attend to those who were sick or in need.  She laughed and cried, supported and encouraged and prayed for all of us. She truly loved the way God loves.

Pat’s family will be holding a private ceremony to celebrate her life.
