Patricia Joan Owens

Patricia was born on April 17, 1942, in Miami, Florida, to James and Myrtle Winkelman. She lived a life centered on love, family, and dedication to those around her.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, Hobert Owens; her beloved sons, Dwayne (Lena), Gregory (Kim), and Philip (Linda); her grandchildren, Timothy (Nancy) Owens, Jeanette (Michael) Tuller, Tessa (Will) Polk, Krystal (Neko) Sidwell, and Charles Owens (Brook Swan); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Emily, Braxton, Levi, Brentley, Casey, Callie, Sophia, Eliana, Carsen, Liam, and soon-to-be Bryce.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Morris, and her parents, James and Myrtle Winkelman.

Patricia was an extraordinary woman who loved her family more than anything in the world. She treasured every moment spent with them, especially time with her great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

She dedicated over 30 years of her career as an optician, at Pearle Vision and Costco Optical. In retirement, Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family, watching home remodeling shows, and reading.

The Owens family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to everyone who has reached out during this difficult time. Your support and kindness have meant so much.

A viewing will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home in Hollywood, Florida. The religious ceremony will follow at 9:30 to 10 a.m. Cemetery, also in Hollywood, Florida at 10 a.m. We kindly ask that only immediate family attend the ceremony.
