

Patricia (Pat) Lee Flavin, born July 6, 1929, daughter of Alma and Arthur Lee, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on March 20, 2023. Pat had a sister, Bette, who married and moved to Detroit, Michigan, and is now deceased. The family lived for many years on Barrows Street in Groton.
Pat attended Groton Elementary and Groton High School where she graduated as valedictorian and class secretary in 1947. During her high school years, Pat participated in several activities, including cheerleading and glee club and as drum majorette in the high school band.
After graduation, she attended and graduated from Powelson Business Institute in Syracuse, New York with highest honors, after which she began her working career with Carrier Corporation in Syracuse.
While at Carrier, she met her husband to be, William Flavin, who she later married and with whom she raised four children. However, after 22 years, they separated, and Pat remained as the sole provider for the family. She returned to the work force at Elliott Company in Jeannette, Pennsylvania.
While working at Elliott Company, Pat also studied and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
Pat also went to flight school while working at Elliott and received her certificate to fly single-engine, land, plane. Pat always said “that was really a whole lot of fun… and work… and hours!”
Pat lived most recently with her daughter, Kathleen, and son-in-law Camille and their family in Davie, FL where she enjoyed golfing, swimming, cards with friends and family gatherings. She previously resided in Somerset, PA until 2008 with her long-time partner, William (Bill) Faurot, Colonel, United States Air Force, Retired until his passing.
Patricia is survived by her daughter Christine King (husband Tim), her son Michael Flavin (wife Patty), her son Patrick Flavin (wife Julie), her daughter Kathleen Tabet (husband Camille), grandchildren and great grandchildren.
