
There will be a small visitation/service at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Fred Hunters Funeral Home in Hollywood. Father Michael Hoyer will officiate service at 2:00pm.
Patrick was born in the Brooklyn, New York on March 15, 1941. He lost his mother at age 3 and was raised by his grandmother. As a teen, Patrick attended the Lincoln Hall Haven for Boys in Somers, NY, which he held dear for the guidance and care he received while there.
Patrick joined the Army at 18, attending during the same period as Elvis Presley. Patrick married Gladys Alviar in 1963. They were married 59 ½ years, and have 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Patrick was a simple man. He loved people and animals. He did not judge others and believed in helping others, offering work to those who may not have otherwise had a chance to work.
In addition to helping others, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved dancing, golfing, fishing, taking care of animals, horse racing and casinos.
Patrick had a passion for US and world history, especially war history. He loved travelling the US, and dancing at the Moose Lodge and American Legion.
He was an entrepreneur, and his lifelong business was painting and wallpaper.
Partick is survived by his wife Gladys, four children, Patrick, Stephanie, Elizabeth, and Victoria, ten grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Ann Nash, father Joseph Stanley Nash and brother Eugene Nash.
