Phillip Brent Perkins, 77, of Tavernier, FL formerly of Hollywoood, FL went to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He was born to the late Brinson Leroy and Mattie Marie (nee' Anderson) Perkins May 31, 1939 in Columbia, South Carolina; After attending Miami High School, Phillip moved to Chicago and joined the United States Air Force serving with Honor. After Phil left the air force he went to work for Burroughs/Unisys until he retired.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Janet Lynn Perkins.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marita Perkins of Tavernier, FL; daughter, Dee Dee Lynn Zero Hollywood, FL; brother, Brinson Perkins, of Columbia, SC; sisters, Debbie Dunn, of Lexington, SC and Diane Pickering, of New Port Richey, FL; granddaughters, Sabrina Alexis Zero Maalouf and Cassie Jean Zero.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VNA Hospice of the Florida Keys, 92001 Overseas Highway, Tavernier, FL 33070 in Phillip's Memory
Family will receive friends from 3:00 -4:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Services will be conducted, on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 4:00 pm at Fred Hunters Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL with Air Force Honors.
