Queen Elizabeth Jordan was born February 24, 1948 in Miami, FL to the late Bishop Willie Forman, Sr. and Mother Truella Forman. She was the fourth child and the first daughter in her family of eleven siblings. The Formans family relocated to Hollywood, FL where Queen was raised and formally educated in the Broward County Public School System. As a trailblazer, Queen was one of the first African American students to attend and graduate from McArthur High School in 1966 in the height of the Civil Rights Movement. Queen was a very ambitious and talented student which contributed to her acceptance at Bethune-Cookman College. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she was not able to enroll but began working full time at the Southern Bell Telephone Company (AT&T) where she retired in management after serving for over thirty years. Birthing with energy to continue to serve her community, she immediately began a new career with Pediatrix Medical Group as a medical credentialist. In addition to her professional employment, Queen also volunteered her time and talents with the following youth organizations: Girl Scouts of America, Junior Achievement and Future Business Leaders of America.
Queens parents taught her to reverence God. As a result, she was very active in the church in which her father was the pastor. She accepted Christ into her life in her teen years and has been a witness for him ever since. Her commitment to the will of God followed her as she moved to Baltimore, MD for a brief period. Upon her return to Florida, she joined in fellowship with New Bethel Temple Church, of Carol City, FL where she met and married Willie (Bill) Jordan, Jr. on April 4, 1971. During this union, Queen and Willie were blessed to raise four wonderful children, Tiorri, Donna and Shanna Jordan and Joseph Rauls. Queen loved her family and was a very loyal and devoted wife and mother.
Queen was gifted with a lovely and anointed singing voice. She used her gift unselfishly to glorify God. She loved and embraced many people and was a enormous source of encouragement and inspiration. The church family of Abundant Living Ministries has reaped the benefits of having this wonderful woman of God as a member and deacon of their congregation until she went home to be with the Lord. Queen served diligently in many roles and expressed the genuine love of God in all of her endeavors. These endeavors included travels abroad and completing the one year bible study course, Preparing for the Harvest, offered through Abundant Living Ministries.
