Ramswaruk was born Warrenville, Cunupia Trinidad and Tobago to Sookdeo Chunilal and Rookmin Bhagwadween Sookdeo on November 23, 1944. He went to school in Warrenville. He married Kamla Ramsran on March 12, 1967 in Tunapuna, Trinidad and Tobago. He worked as a mechanic for New York Telephone for 18 years.
Ramswaruk is preceded in death by his son Anill Sookdeo and his granddaughter Ashlee Coroneos.
Ramswaruk is survived by spouse Kamla Sookeo (Ramsran), children Navall Sookdeo, Indrani Monroe and Earl, Nadera McAllister and David. Grandchildren Amber McAllister, Tyler Sookdeo, Amanda Sookdeo, Kaitlyn Sookdeo, Christian Sookdeo, Autumn McAllister and Troy McAllister. Great grandchildren Dawson McAllister and Salem Williams.
