This is so sad. I’m so sorry to see this. I hadn’t spoken to Ray in a very long time but shared some moments with him as teenagers living in Tampa. I had looked for him years ago on social media but couldn’t find a profile so I let it go. To his family and friends, I’m so sorry for your loss. I wish I’d looked him up again sooner than now. 

I met Ray back in 1991, when he was living in Doral, FL.  We became quick friends, and we would hang out at each others houses.  I believe he lived in Doral Oaks, and I lived in Doral Lakes.  His father had a short wave radio to listen to the BBC.  There was NO internet!!!

I just moved from NYC to Miami, so I decided to look him up, and I now see this.  I will never forget Thanksgiving 1991, when my mother prepared Turkey, Peruvian style, and Ray went crazy about it (his blue eyes popped).  He was used to the American version (super bland).  He was a good guy, and we had good times.

Hi Ray and family! God I can't believe you are gone at such a young age. I haven't seen you in years and I thought I would just look you up online but instead of finding you I find your obituary. I am so sorry to be reading this. To his family and friends, I am sorry for your loss. Ray was a nice guy. I will never forget our days at DNA together. He had so many friends and was so popular there. We had such good times. He was good-looking guy. I loved his blue eyes. He was so full of life. What happened to him? How did he die? I can't believe I am reading this. I am sorry I didn't contact you sooner Ray. I hope you are in a better place now. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. If anyone has any pictures of him when he was a teen (Ybor) please share them. Thank you. RIP Ray.

RIP Ray you will always be in our hearts forever the memories I have of you playing your drums and crazy days of your sillyness will always be in my heart and I know your up there rocking out with Jason Love and miss you both. This hurts my heart that we lost you too soon.

I remember Raymond as a very young boy - I think he was about 10 or 11 when I came to work for Lucky in Miami. Lucky, Gloria, Laura - I am so sorry for your loss and wish I could be with you to celebrate Raymond's life at the service on Friday. Thinking of you and sending all my love.

We had our good times & bad but in the end we were good friends. There will always be a place in my heart for you.

I never met Raymond, but I worked with Lucky (and Gloria) at British Airways in New York for many years and will always have fond memories of all the good times we all shared over the years.
