Rebecca Hunkins

Rebecca “Becky” Hunkins of Hollywood, Florida passed away on October 23, 2021, and is predeceased by her husband, Dwain “Bubba” Hunkins, and her parents James Frank Magee & Eleanor McKee Magee. Becky has been a resident of South Florida for the past 70 years where her mother (Eleanor) was a founding member of the Hollywood Art & Culture Center. Becky previously worked in the insurance business and for the past 25 years enjoyed volunteering at Memorial Hospital in Hollywood. 

Becky was born in her family home on October 13, 1928, in Fairview, PA in the same room of the house that her mother (Eleanor McKee Magee) was born in 1896.  The house had been built in 1832 by Becky’s grandparents (Josiah & Clara McKee). 

Becky is survived by her 6 children: Richard Hart (Erin), Kathleen Hart, Karen Geralds (Graham), Dal Hunkins, Doug Hunkins, & David Hunkins (Theresa); 9 Grandchildren: Christopher DiPasquale (Tara), Leigh Anne Hart, Kerry Minio (Jeffrey), Eleanor Norena (Octavio), Lori Sauter, Jenny Hunkins, Sean Hunkins, Chad Hunkins, & Nickolas Hunkins; 9 Greatgrandchildren: Jonathan DiPasquale, Danielle DiPasquale, Alexis Minio, Tyler Minio, Andres Norena, Alex Norena, Anthony Norena, Luke Sauter, & Claire Sauter.

On Tuesday, November 9th at 5 pm, a memorial service will be held at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home on Taft Street in Hollywood, FL.  Becky had requested no flowers but rather donations to her favorite charities: The Art & Culture Center/Hollywood, Music Club of Hollywood, and/or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
