She came to the USA as a political refugee in the early sixties and resided in New York, N. Y. for fourteen years.
She moved down to Florida with her family in 1980. It was at that point that she blended in with the Cuban Community here in Miami-Dade and started to work in the restaurant field for fifteen years. She was honest, hard working, dedicated and compassionate. Her co-workers and managers adored her. Her daughters meant everything to her. She would have given her life if need be to protect them.

She was loved and cared for by her daughter Milly for many years while going through the stages of this terrible disease.
