Rene O. Hernandez

Rene moved from Queens, New York to south Florida in 2008. He retired after over 35 years of honorable service in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army.

Rene is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sandra; sons, Daniel and Alejandro; his mother, Gloria Lopez; sister, Rosa Fernandez (Roberto); Nephew, Roberto; niece, Iliana; cousins, extended family and a large and caring Military Family. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Aurora Hernandez.

Visitation is from 4-9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Fred Hunter's University Drive Home, 2401 S. University Drive, Davie. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at St. David Catholic Church; 3900 S. University Drive, Davie. Interment, with Full Military Honors, will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
