Resna, (Doo-Doo) you will surely be missed; but, I will cherish the good old days we spent in primary school at Clifton in Milk River, Clarendon. I will also cherish all those Saturday nights when you would come to my house to get my mother's (your Aunt Theresa McPherson-Mclymont) soup 🍲 and mangos 🥭 when in season. Doo-Doo you are gone but you will never be forgotten. ❤️ You left me by myself so now I don't have anyone left my age to talk with. But, I will cherish all the times we spent talking on the phone and when I last came to see you on your 99th birthday. Hazel, Girly, Annie and Kenneta are also all gone on. I hope you will find and unite with them and save a place for me up Yonder. My sincere and deepest condolences to Pat and Willie and the rest of the immediate family, take comfort in the legacy that your beloved Aunt Resna McPherson-Holloway-Haynes have left behind.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the immediate and extended families of Aunt Resna, but especially to my dearest friends, her nieces Pat and Sheila, through whom I came to meet Aunt Resna. Getting to know the beautiful O’Connor family during occasional visits while on breaks from our alma mata (UF) was such a pleasure. Her warmth, her no-nonsense candidness, and her smile stand out in my mind, even all these years later, and though our meetings were brief, I came to understand the deep love and appreciation her family had for her and for her leadership. Peaceful rest, dearest Aunt Resna. We’ll remember your zest for life and your love for family, always.

When I first moved into the neighborhood with my wife and our three little kids, we didn’t know what to expect. But the Ms. Resna  and her husband welcomed us with open arms from the very beginning. They treated us like we were already part of their family. From weekend visits, stopping by to check on us, phone calls just to see how we were doing, to the celebrations we shared between our homes — every moment meant something.

They watched my children grow up and were always there with kindness, wisdom, and support. Their presence made this neighborhood feel like home, and their love made us feel like we truly belonged.

I will always be grateful for everything they did for our family. The memories, the laughter, and the care they showed us will never be forgotten. They will forever hold a special place in our hearts and will truly be missed. ❤️

Condolences to the family. I met Aunt Resna through her niece Stephanie. Aunt  Resna always had a smile on her face and was very kind.

My dear grandma Resna, I cannot speak or express how I feel about you. You have been a pillar of consistency from the moment that I met you. Although you leave this earth, you never leave my heart and will be forever ingrained. You are family forever. Even though you are not on Earth no more, I will continue to look out for your family, however I can, because of what you and grandpa devene have been for me and my family. I will miss everything about you and will continue to live for you.

This day was one of our best conversations. I hadn’t seen her in a while because of my school and work hours. She sat with me and asked me to catch her up on everything going on in my life. She gave me advice and shared stories about when I was younger—when I used to come over, or when she would see me going to the park or walking around the neighborhood. While we talked, she rubbed my cheeks like she always did. She told me to keep living life to the fullest and never let anyone stand in the way of my dreams. Man, I’m really going to miss my grams—my VIP bonus grandma.💕

My condolences to my family in Florida, Jamaica, USA, & us here in Canada.  Aunt Resna was and will always remain in my heart & thoughts. She and her sisters would come to Canada and visit my father Rupert and the rest of family. Gary her son was living in Canada at one point going college. I miss my aunties. She's the last to go and I know people say they in a better place but their lost to me feels like when I lost my granma Elsada McPherson  Reid. God love her and so did I and the rest of family.
