Rick was an incredible husband and dad. He was kind, generous, funny, handsome, and athletic. He carried all of these great qualities with a certain ease and humbleness. He cared about my Mom, my Sister and I and he always put everyone else first in his life. He worked at City of Miami Fire Rescue for 35 years helping the people of Miami, was Fireman of the Year in the State of Florida in 1986 when he rescued children from a burning building and he enjoyed all of his time with the guys at Station 9. Rick loved cooking, traveling, playing sports and spending time with his family. He had an incredible marriage of 47 years to his high school sweetheart, my mom Patty Bean, has 2 children Jennifer and Keith and 4 wonderful grandkids, Cody, Thor, Ava and Jake. There is so much more that I could write about him. If you happened to know him you knew what a great guy he was and he was an even better father! Your legacy at the fire station and in our homes will carry on. You will be missed!
We miss and love you!
